In the beautiful hills of Northeast India lies the state of Tripura, which is home to diverse cultures, tribes and religious groups. Tripura is famous for its cultivations, tea plantations, beautiful gardens, toy trains and much more. Being known for its breathtaking scenic view, this state is also popular for its tribe culture and food. There are numerous places to visit in Tripura.

Unakoti

Unakoti is a district in the state of Tripura which is famous for its timeless ruins. The main tourist attraction of this place is the carved rocks which were carved and sculpted by extremely skilled artists. The rocks have carved faces of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Ganesh and Nandi. What makes Unakoti a Tripura famous place is its mythological tale. You can reach this place by either car or train.

Jagannath Temple

This one is an architectural masterpiece. Built in the capital city of Agartala, this temple is dedicated to the Hindu gods. What’s more? It has beautiful carvings and vibrant colours in the architecture, making it one of the best places to visit in Tripura.

Ujjayanta Palace

This place is one of the most famous Tripura attractions of all time. It is famous for its Mughal garden view and state museum, which shows the culture of Tripura. You will surely enjoy the beautiful architecture and the marvellous view of the royal garden with fountains. Most visited for sightseeing and is a heaven for photographers. The temple is open all seven days of the week from 10 am 9 pm. However, the closing hours in-between may differ.

Toy Train

One of the things Tripura is most famous for is its toy train. Isn’t it fun to roam around in a toy train? This train travels from Agartala to Darjeeling (throughout the year). What makes this train special is its size. The size, as well as the structure of this train, is smaller and more vibrant than the regular trains. The fare for this train varies.
